Three times a year, we have a “Curriculum Catch Up Afternoon” in which students who are all caught up on their work are dismissed early, while those that are missing tasks from the term are required to stay to complete those tasks. A form has been sent home this week to indicate whether or not your child is up to date on all of their assigned tasks. Students that are eligible will be dismissed at 11:55 (our regular lunch time) on Monday, November 27. Those that are required to stay will be working in the Learning Commons until their assigned tasks are completed. Students are welcome to be dismissed once they have completed their work as long as they have permission from you to do so.
We realize this can be an inconvenience for families, but if families prefer, you can indicate on the form, and students are welcome to spend the afternoon working/reading quietly even if they are up to date on their work.
